COVID-19 swept the world through rainfall years ago, shifting daily lives as we know it. Our global response to COVID-19 has been fueled by mainly two technology advancements. Initially, advancements in biomedical and genomic technologies have enabled everyone to identify and analyze viruses such as SARS-CoV-2 with extraordinary pace, as well as cultivate preventive actions such as immunizations also called as vaccinations and other therapeutic approaches. Next, new data technologies and systems have enabled us all to gather real-time data, initiate viral monitoring, and collaborate national and regional health systems.
